Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games of 2019-2020 and might just be the hottest release since Red Dead Redemption 2. Since the earliest creations in the form of The Witcher (2007) CD Projekt positioned itself as a company which is unafraid to take time developing games to make them as good as possible (a trait many modern developers lack). In the case of Cyberpunk 2077, we might have to wait a while longer, as it can launch any time between the Autumn of 2019 and the end of 2020. If you want to know the most likely date of Cyberpunk 2077 release, we would call the Spring of 2020 the safest bet.
The release could be postponed due to the turn of console generations. This year Sony and Microsoft are expected to reveal the new versions of PlayStation and Xbox, and many developers would like to halt their game releases until it happens. As I’ve mentioned before, during E3 2018, the developers shared 48 minutes of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay footage, which gives a pretty good idea of what the game looks and feels like.

Cyberpunk 2077 is not a peaceful game where you need to make money by doing mundane activities. Just the Witcher protagonist, you will have to face and fight evil and fight it often. Instead of the silver sword, this time your primary weapon is a high-caliber pistol. Access to the cyberware gadgets and stimulants can help you in battles, increasing accuracy, slowing time and giving other perks (not
unlike the Witcher potions).

Cyberpunk 2077 Open world

According to CD Projekt, in Cyberpunk 2077 players will be roaming through an open world which has both similarities and differences with Grand Theft Auto V. According to the lead cinematic animator, Maciej Pietras, who gave an interview to JeuxActu, each element of the open world is hand-crafted and not procedurally generated.
He also mentioned that the game is riddled with buildings, which makes it hard to establish a metric comparison with the world of The Witcher 3.

Cyberpunk 2077 Storyline (plot)

The events of the game take place in the year 2077 in a place called Night City. Players take up the role of a protagonist named V, who is a male or female, depending on your choice. The developers took great care to preserve the main foundations of Cyberpunk, which are lowlife and high-tech.
Be prepared to dive into the filthy and drug-infested streets, where the inhabitants of the poorest districts wear mechanical implants. Throughout the game, the protagonist will be trying to break out of the lowest classes of society and make a name for him(her)self.
Since it’s CD Projekt, expect a rich, open-ended storyline and a vastness of side quests that can impact the main plot.

Cyberpunk 2077 System Requirements

When CD Projekt released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2015, it raised the bar for what a gaming PC should consist of, and a similar scenario can happen now as well. Also, keep in mind that the game might become one of the first new generation console releases. After the demo at E3, a community manager Alicja Kozera shared the specs of the machine, used during the exhibition. Here they are:

These are very impressive specs, and it takes several hundred dollars to assemble such a beast of a machine. For those who can’t boast such luxurious specs, the good news is that the demo was shown in 4k resolution, meaning that a weaker machine should handle the game at 1080p just fine.
Here are the likely system requirements for a system to run Cyberpunk 2077 at comfortable 40+ fps with 1080p resolution:

• Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz
• Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB
• System Memory: 8 GB RAM
• Storage unit: 128GB SSD

If you have these specs, you must be safe, though, as mentioned before, with CD Projekt all bets are off — this studio doesn’t like to compromise.
